VA Hospital

We spent the day at the VA Hospital in Durham. My husband had a follow up on his eyes.

They have a new slogan posted outside the hospital that really touched my mind and my
heart. "The cost of war is visible here".This is so very true and to the point.

My husbands age are the older veterans now but you see so many younger men and women
now at the hospital. So many lives changed forever and sometimes you wonder for what.

Many of the "wars" changed nothing but the lives of the service men and women the situation
where they fought and many died  has not changed.

We pray for these veterans and their families. We also pray that our government will not forget
the sacrifices they have made and continue to improve and provide the care that they need.

God Bless
Until next time

Voter ID

This has been a big political item in our state. I had a incident the other day that brought this
to mind. I am all for having to prove who you are in order to vote and this is why.

Walmart. I had a package to pick up. I had my computer email etc to show the clerk.
I didnot take in my DL and so I couldnot get my package. I had to walk back out to the
car to get it and bring it in to show before I was allowed to get my package.
The thought if you can't pick up a package from Walmart without an ID it only makes
sense to have to show who you are when you are doing something as important as voting.

My 2 cents worth.
God Bless

ETc and ETc

Hi It has been a while since I have made a entry and I hope you will still read about what is going on
in my life. This year has started off a little crazy in good ways and bad ways
.
We lost my Uncle Leroy and my sister in law Susan. It is still hard to accept sometimes that they are gone
.
We have a new great grandson Nicolas who is precious beyond words. We also have twins coming in June or July. Grandson Steven and Taylor. They are having a boy and a girl, how awesome is that. Just waiting and praying that they come into this world healthy and safe. Keep Taylor in your thoughts and prayers as she enters the last weeks of carrying these precious lives.

My Mama is doing really good. We are getting on each others nerves but surviving.

My  husband has had some problems with his eyes but it appears it is getting better. Another check up
tomorrow at the eye clinic at the VA Hospital in Durham.Aches and pains that is one of the things
your "golden" years produce.

Next month May is our anniversary month. A trip is planned to Florida for two weeks. I am getting
excited. I am planning on blogging about the trip. Hope you will keep up with our adventure.
