CAREGIVER
I have been taking care of my Mama since my Dad passed in 1998. She has lived with us for many of those
years. Tomorrow will be the beginning of a new chapter.
It has been a very hard decision to make. We have talked it over and both of us have decided to
move her into a Assisted Living facility. I have thought and prayed over this many sleepless nights.
I want her last years to be as comfortable and easy as they can be.I believe this will be a good
situation for her.She will get help with her daily needs, it will be easier for her to move around in
her wheelchair.I think most of all she will be with folks all day her age and will be able to take
part in ongoing activities they have there. She can just roll down the hall and get her hair done
and much more.
It helps me to share this with you because as I said this is not a easy decision. Please pray
with us about this new chapter. Pray that this will be a good situation for her and that she
will make new friends and enjoy her new living arrangements.
Also say a prayer that the financial assistance will be approved .

I am going to add some serious subjects to my blog and I hope you will continue to read and share with your
friends and families.
I am a supporter of Samaritans Purse and the work they do to help people in our country as well as world
wide. I am going to be blogging about the organization and the projects and relief efforts that they are
involved in.
This is new to me so at this point in time I don't know exactly how it will work. I may just be passing on
information about projects and volunteer opportunities by writing about them in my blog.
I am hoping that it will also include some hands on real life experiences.
As this new part of my journey begins I ask for your support and patience as I become an

Victory Cruise
We went on Victory Cruise Ship out of Port Carnaveral. It is a floating casino.It is about a 5
hour cruise. Not much into gambling and it doesn't take very long to lose my 10.00.
It is a nice cruise without the gambling and it is only 10.00 to board. They have food and entertainment all during the cruise time and other activities.You do have to be 18 to get on board.
It was a little choppy out the day we went and you could feel the ship moving quite a bit.
Kelly was with us and we had a good time just sitting and watching out the windows.
A floating Casino if you like to gamble and a nice afternoon aboard a ship enjoying the sun and water for
a low price.

We did a little side trip to visit Cocoa Beach. I must confess the part we stopped at was not very impressive.
It was a bit of a disappointment to us all. But each person is different and the same location can be their paradise on earth.

We got kinda up close and personal with a couple of pelicans.They did not seem to be afraid of people.
It was a kinda windy day so surfers were out in full wet suit gear
It was a great side trip and we are planning to visit the Space Center our next time in the area.

Florida
I just loved the place we stayed at in Orlando. It was a little older and smaller but the courtyard made
up for all that.
A tropical jungle with music in the midst of Orlando.Our door opened into this jungle. Music by the
pool and other activities. A little to cold for me to be in the pool but others took the plunge.
We even had jungle cats roaming around no photos s you know how fast they are!.Relax just some
kitty cats.

On the road again in Florida
We are enjoying the sunshine and warm days and at home SNOW seems to be coming again
